British Culture: 'Alright?'
In Britain, asking 'Alright?' is a very common way to say hello, especially among teenagers in the school corridors. You don't actually need to answer with how you are feeling! You can simply reply by saying 'Alright?' back. It's just a quick, friendly way to acknowledge someone.
