Britain has some amazing zoos! The most famous is ZSL London Zoo — it opened in 1828, and more than 700 different kinds of animals live there. There are lions, penguins, monkeys and even giant spiders (don't worry — they stay behind the glass!). Today we're going to learn the names of some brilliant animals in English, so next time you visit a zoo, you can say them all. Ready? Let's go!

Here's something funny: animals 'speak' differently in every language! In English, a dog says 'woof woof', a cat says 'meow', a bird says 'tweet tweet' and a lion goes 'ROAR!'. Try saying them out loud — which one is your favourite? Can you roar like a British lion?
