The British High Street
The 'high street' is the traditional heart of any British town or city, bustling with a mix of familiar chain stores and independent shops. Famous British high street brands include Marks & Spencer, Next, Boots, and Primark. When shopping in the UK, one golden rule stands above all others: always queue! Jumping the queue is considered incredibly rude and will certainly earn you some angry looks. Also, remember that in Britain, prices always include VAT (tax), so what you see on the label is exactly what you pay at the till.
